Talgarth Walks

Each of these buttons downloads a PDF with ideas for a local walk. These are not endurance yomps on top of the Beacons or Black Mountains that need special equipment and safety precautions- just pleasant local walks that should present no particular difficulties for reasonably fit adults and children. You should use an OS map in conjunction with these suggestions and make your own decisions about your final route.

The walks are 3-8 miles in length and none should take longer than about four hours unless you are stopping for a while en route. They all involve sections where you will be walking adjacent to roads. Quiet roads - but these still require caution and vigilance for people on foot.. You should note that there may not be pubs or shops on your route after you leave Talgarth so go prepared for this.

If you have a favourite walk in the area or discover a new one while staying at Joe’s share a few notes on it and we will be glad to post it here. This page is under development and new material will be added as we get a chance so check back!
